Subject: Currency melt-down....a repeat of the 97 crisis
"The Indonesia Rupiah has lost 21% in value
in the last few weeks. Yesterday, it nose-dived 8% to 11,800 to US$1.00.....
to the same low level at the height of currency crisis in 97."
The real problem is record high oil price. The Indonesia Rupiah lost ground
faster than the rest of the currency because speculators lost money in oil
tries to get back at the Indonesia Rupiah, due to its weakness and easy
manipulation, and its predictability. This weakness is only temporary, as
the Rupiah is manipulated, and those who placed their bets on a long term
depression will get their fingers burned. Correction will be in place, and
if billions used to defend it will go down the drain. The fundamentals are
good, and when the market realise there will be a reversed movement, and
find equilibrium.
