Re: RHODES SCHOLARSHIP For Singapore Withdrawn.

The Rhodes scholarship was based on academia and sporting prowess at
preferably international field.

This was deemed the basis for international leaders of tomorrow who were not
only boned in academics but also playing field specialists who can compete
on level playing fields of physical prowess.

Several leaders emerged from this programmed and it has become the
cornerstone of University scholarships with Clinton being one of them -
political leadership not the only leadership it has crafted.

Singapore has for the last decade asked for criteria other than
international spotting prowess as they could not find any international
stars in the universities and opted only for academic honors and diluted
positions in other fields which can be due to many other attributes not
necessarily due to the individual performance itself.
