Unlike almost Everyone Else, I'm not Pushing
one thing or another, preferring a more Agnostic
approach. That being said, I *do* have my pet
theories and I'm sticking to them.

There are so many possible answers to your
question (those which have been postulated
and those which have yet to be), that it's quite
impossible to "know" which one is right. I'll
refer you to the reply I made to Adam some
moments ago, and Clarke's Three Laws. It
might be (if you are a Curver) that what we
see as "expanding" now will just continue to
expand right on tound the "other side," - in
which case we will start to see it "contracting"
at some point in the future. Alternatively, the
whole Dark Matter/Energy issue is far from
being settled, and hence the Expansionists
might find themselves in disfavour soon enough.
Remember the absolute vitriol thrown at the
Catastrophists prior to Shoemaker-Levy 9?
Those who claim to "know" almost certainly
don't. And since we _can't_ Know, I'm going
to go with what Seems Right To Me (based
on the best information I have at the time, of
course), and "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense."

Maybe time is slowing down?

If it were, we wouldn't be aware of it - or even
capable of measuring it. *Maybe* it will rain
blood and fire tomorrow and hordes of angels
will descend from the sky. *Maybe* the "missing"
mass is being sucked into black holes, spewed
through wormholes, and is exiting from white holes
in some other manifold. *Maybe* the sky is blue
not from nitrogen-refraction but from Pixie Dust!
