Nalita, I wouldn't bother with those free programs Registry Booster and a
few others. I tried them before and either they were
no good and didn't fix anything, or offered to fix a few files, then want
you to pay. I'm not paying. If it was me and I got the error message you
did when trying to post a Usenet message, I would contact your news
provider
and ask them what the error means and how to fix it. I am like Helen and
used OE for the last 15 years and not many problems. It could be a wrong
setting in OE news area. I've got the odd error message, though maybe not
the same one as you, but I would contact my news provider and they would
usually suggest possible reasons for the errors. Usually I would get it
fixed one way or the other. How many messages have this error message that
you send out? I admit I know nothing about Vista. I use Win XP.
Anyway, just some thoughts.

Heheh. My Internet provider could care less about Usenet. I had problems
years ago with this, and they said use Google Groups. I'm actually
surprised that my provider still carries Usenet, as so many are dropping
Usenet News. I'm sure it's my crappy computer. I can successfully send out
about 2/3 of my responses to posts. Sometimes a post will be successful if
I piggyback my reply on someone else's post under the same header. None of
it makes sense. I don't know why this problem would start now after several
years of flawless performance. I do believe it's my "sucky" computer.

On a positive note, I'm glad that keyboards are cheap. I spilled a glass of
Diet Coke on mine earlier this evening which made it wonky. Good thing I
had a backup ... :) :)
