Within the last week I loaded Windows 7 RC in
Virtualbox on my Vista PC. It worked a treat
and I am well pleased with its operation.
I was also surprised at the ease with which
it loaded through Virtualbox.

I have never actually used Virtualbox up to
this point, and I now wish to return my PC
to its former Vista operating system until
the official first release comes along.

I'm assuming from this that you liked Windows 7? I hope so anyway as I pre-ordered it yesterday for £38.50

Yes, Floozie, I was/am very impressed by
this Operating System. The system as it stands
appears to be quite stable and has presented no
problems whatsoever. I would however express a
certain disappointment that Microsoft have not
quite got their act together in presenting an
adequate email/newsreader program, to the extent
that you have to go searching around for something
that will do the job with as little fuss as the
much maligned Outlook Express.

For the time being I am using the highly competent
Opera 10 Browser and Newsreader, but I expect that
the expectations of customers will lead to some
concentration on this oft ignored aspect of Usenet
activity by Microsoft.

It is worth commenting that Outlook Express and
Windows Mail are not supported.

The pre-order price in the UK is £55, which I shall
probably/undoubtedly stump up. Actually, the many
upgrades to Vista, my 'native' system have finally
produced, in my opinion, a suitably stable system.

I should be getting paid for this.!!
