Following on from our previous movie thread I watched Zulu last night. It
was surprisingly good given it is 45 years old. It has made a fairly decent
transfer to high definition, with sharp colours and some beautiful scenery.
It must be 30 years since I saw it and the story has held up better than I
expected. Some of Michael Caine's scenes were very good and some of the
class based issues were dealt with very well. For instance the pastor was
causing problems trying to tell them not to fight. The sergeant said; "Come
along now Sir, be a good Gentleman."
Well worth a revisit.
I found a thread on another site about 'hidden gems' - films that few people
know about, and are worth watching. One recommendation was Glengarry Glen
Ross. I was out scouting for bargains today and bought it on DVD as an
impulse buy. I'll feedback once I have seen it.

I always like the bit in the hyping-up stage about the opposing
singers being 'short on tenors'. Good music there!
Will have to look out again, we have DVD but dont think have watched
on new Blu-ray setup.
