Aah! Andrew Jackson. Now *there* was a true American Patriot(TM).
One of my childhood heroes in fact.

You are evil, truly evil.
?
But I thought you Yanks, possibly alone amoung the world, still thought
Patriotism was a 'good thing'.
I just can't win with you guys.

<One World Pinko Commie>

The Tarheels named a county adjacent to Quallah Boundary "Jackson
County".
I know. We have this thing called 'education' in the UK.

Are you suggesting that in the UK several credit hours are given over to
studying the finer points of the Cherokee experience?

Not 'the finer points' but I was certainly taught about the evil Jackson
and his double-crossing and 'The Trail of Tears' of the Cherokees and
stuff like that for sure. Weren't you? TBH I think I might have picked up
the 'Jackson County' thing myself in later years.

Not aware?
Me?

I didn't ask if you were 'aware'. I asked if you were 'taught'.
I was just wondering if the US teach their schoolkids about the atrocities
visited upon the Cherokees to the same level as do the British?
