Yet something in human nature doesn't allow us to be comfortable with
that.
Our leaders must be perfect and they seldom, if ever, are.
Reminds me of the ancient practice of the Gaels, the king must be
perfect.
The slightest physical flaw was enough to disqualify him from the
kingship.
Which probably goes a long way towards explaining why
there is no modern Gaelic monarcy.
You need go no further than the *nglish..........
Aspiring to perfection is one thing, demanding it is quite
another although personally, I find the former to be boring
and tedious people...very concerned with how they are per-
ceived in the eyes of others. "What would the neighbours
think?" has never been my mantra and I can't say that I
find it an attractive one in others.
"What would the neighbors think?" is the glue that has held society together
for lo these many thousands of years.
Peer pressure is still an awesome force when it comes to human conduct.
Which is why politicians go down when their seamy undersides are exposed.
