Wendy was right to go.....
To be honest, I never ever thought she was up to the job in the
first place, and it is quite obvious that she began to suffer greatly
on a personal level. Hopefully she will eventually realise that
politics is not for everyone, and will settle into a life of appreciation
of her young twins.

Wendy was never more than third rate, despite all the ballyhoo
about her being 'extremely talented', which emanated from
Labour's Central Office. There was very little evidence of that.
The real problem for Labour is that everyone else in the wings is also,
at best 'third rate'. It therefore seems reasonable to think that Labour
will not regain the favour of the Scots in the foreseeable future.

All in all, the impotence of Labour and the ineptitude of the
Conservatives (who should never be forgiven for sins of the past),
will all but guarantee Alec Salmond's triumphant ascendancy.

But herein lies the perennial weakness of Scotland's politics:
there are gey few of our politicians who could lead a Suturday
Night Tenement Party, never mind a national movement.!

Alec Salmond appears to be the only politico worthy of the name.
All the rest are 'small fry'.

I have to agree. Salmond has the instincts of a high wire artiste and
rarely seems to put a foot wrong.
