Tee hee!
Puir Wee UUendy !!!
"I never done anthing wrong, guv.
If I did, I were given bad advice after the deadline.
It were those nasty Nats wot done me in"
It's certainly put Mugabe out of the BBC News 24
headlines. UUendy is now the 'main' story !
To follow . . .
The by-election in Glasgow caused by David Marshall MP
standing down on health grounds could be "interesting" !
He's been the Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP) for
Glasgow Shettleston from 1979-2005 and Glasgow East
since 2005.
He stepped into the shoes of Myer Galpern (Baron Galpern),
ex-Lord Provost of Glasgow from 1958 to 1959, who was
then the Shettleston MP from 1959 to 1979.
So it's been a rock-solid Labour seat for 50 years with
a majority of 13,507 (43.7%) at the last election.
And another by-election is due in Motherwell and Wishaw
(Labour majority of 5,928 / 22.7%) before the end of the
year when Joke McConnell MSP (former First Minister
in Holyrood) takes up his new post in Malawi.
