Nothing extrodinary for this time of year. 30+ mph gusts.

The Weather Channel (reliable source, that) said that sustained winds
of 60 mph with gusts to 80 and 100 miles per hour would be hitting
the Pacific Northwest.
Hells Bells, James, them's hurricane winds.




We often, though not every year, get those kind of winds. More often
on
the coastal headlands than inland. Often on the ridge peaks in the
Coast
Range and the Cascades we see 125-150 mph gusts. The lake out my rear
window continues to grow.

This morning the water has receded about 6 inches. Later today perhaps
I'll release some doves.
