You ever try teaching a one-year-old not to put it's fingers
in its mouth? You would have to handcuff the little brat.
I'm sure every 'viewer' who has ever been a Mother will know
*exactly* what I'm talking about
Do you always expect reason from neo-cons?
Never - but Seimi is always playing the idiot to divert the
discussion or just point blank ignores me when he gets caught out.
Which is practically every time as it happens.
Lying prick, that's you trick.
That's simply not true as the most cursory skim through this thread
clearly illustrates.
I don't need to add anything to that as the evidence is right there
in all the above posts.
I used to think that sometimes you were just playing the dumb troll
to wind me up but others have since verified that you are indeed
exactly as you present.
The truth is that OLM is an occurance of such low likelihood as to be
not something which should be of major worry to the population at
large. Of the population of the US >0.00025% suffer some reduction
of vision from OLM. Fewer than that suffer blindness. There are
many risks which we as parents accept as very unlikely which make
blindness from OLM pale by comparison.
Some parents maybe.
And as I pointed out it's not just the blindness that is a risk.
"...A dog intestinal roundworm stomodeum (nematode Toxocara canis). It
is a parasitic infection caused by oral contact with material
contaminated by eggs in dog feces. Ingested eggs hatch into larvae in
the intestines, then migrate through the tissues to organs such as the
liver, lungs, brain and eyes. The migrating larvae may cause anything
from mild malaise to asthma, seizures, pneumonia and blindness..."
"...The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today
announced about 14 percent of the U.S. population is infected with
Toxocara, or internal roundworms, contracted from dogs and cats. The
results of this study demonstrate that Toxocara infection in the
United States is more widespread and common than previously
understood. This infectious agent is capable of causing zoonotic
disease that can lead to blindness and serious systemic illness..."
Underestimate it at your child's peril.
"People can be infected by the dog roundworm, but the worms cannot
complete their lifecycle in humans. Ingested eggs hatch into larvae and
enter the blood stream, but the great majority are walled off and killed
by the immune system without any clinical signs." So says Nurse Minerva.
