I have a Packard-Bell Easynote about 2.5 y/o.
It has packed in. I think it is the Motherboard.
Indications are that it will cost about
£130 to fix, plus transport and insurance.
Too much when you can now get a
Laptop for under £500.
Who in Hamilton Area of Lanarkshire or
Glasgow can I take this to.?
I'll go £80 quid tops.
If you don't get it fixed, but would like to retrieve important files
out of the hard-drive, I can do that for free, assuming the drive
hasn't lost its marbles.
So - you have a side-line in blackmail Ian? V.enterprising of you.
Certainly not! Any proposed data retrieval would be performed within
the exacting guidelines of SCS Regulation 223, paragraph 14; i.e. - "No
looking, peering or glancing fleetingly at screen when saving someone
else's data, unless it's really interesting and worthwhile. Any attempt
at extortion should first be submitted to, and approved by The Board."
