And of course, this is the home of the famous Simon Fraser Pipe Band,
world champions for seven consecutive years. They were at the Highland
Games this year and the crowd kept shouting for more! They finally
left when the beer ran out, as did the rest of us!

I can only speak of the Simon Fraser Pipe Bands in superlatives.
They appear regularly at Glasgow Green for the World Pipe Band
Championships, presenting 3 or 4 full Pipe Bands. They are a wonderful
spectacle.

Another Canadian Band from Alberta is distinguished by all dressing
in black shirts with every piper and drummer having dyed platinum
blonde hair. Quite 'spooky', really.
