Odd way of showing his appreciation for your informative posts,"Informative"?

I do like a bit of heavy irony. Keep it up, Conway.
postings.
However, having said that, I would mention that I like the man and I like
his writings.
Every man to his taste, I suppose.
I get the sneaky feeling that this is all a psychological experiment
to test how we react to his multiple personalities.
Nice to see that the other long-term psychological trial involving a
kindred spirit (DSH) has been terminated.
Michael has an excellent sense of humor as well as being well read.
But now when the Gaelic "Black Mood" comes upon him, he's best left alone.
But that soon passes and then he's back to his usual self.
being my press agent. All glory and no pay, I'm afraid, but I feel
you've handled the unfortunate Hogg with deft ability.
As for the Black Dog (which was what Churchill called his despondent
moods), I am currently mourning the death of a friend; supporting a
friend dying from cancer; and personally enjoying the pain of having
removed four inches of skin from my shinbone when I missed the pedal
on my bike as I was mounting it and the pedal managed to excoriate me
despite my jeans being in the way... Notwithstanding, I felt I was
very mild in my responses to the ungrateful Hogglet's witterings.
Like all successful men, I am forced to endure the ravings of envious
tyros. Still, if the lad matures, he could be potential B-Team
material, I suppose.
Total arrogance - the mark of the Highland Gentleman!
Alas, poor Cory, you know me well...

English is such a damnable language..
"Well?" he asked
"No, just a waterfilled pothole", I riposted.
Bow, (Bo) Bow (Bao) bough (Bo)
That's not a language - that's a trade jargon! Pidgin Norman French
and Anglo-Saxon which borrows from every other language and then dives
into multiple shades of meaning.
When my mother was working in the south Pacific for the Red Cross, she
sent me a photo of the governor-general of some island, whose full
dress regalia included cockatoo feathers in his hat.
In the local pidgin English, she said, the feathers were described as
"Him feller grass bilong cockatoo's arse". What better description
could there be?
Her other gem was the local phrase for a helicopter -
"Him feller Mixmaster".
Have a look at this - maybe we could start a fashion?

Vocal communication is interesting. Adults create pidgin, children
create language. That's how Jamaican Patois was borne.
No kidding! My children created baby swearing - they inherited the
gene from their mother, whose Nova Scotian comments could turn quite
salty once she was under full sail.
