Really Stupit, Intit?

Yesterday I purchase a Dirt-Devil portable car
vacuum cleaner. It was a nice looking device that
promised keep me effortlessly tidying my car for
a few years.
Today I opened the box, read the instructions and
searched for the promised "Crevice Tool".
Alas, it was nowhere to be found, so I made haste
to the retailer with my now deficient 'Dirt-Devil' and
requested my 'Crevice Tool'
I spoke to a young lad of around 19 who had clearly
never attended the "School of Customer Service
and Mollification of the Public", but I have to say
he was quite engaging just the same.
When I explained my predicament, he held up his right
hand, as if to command, "Say nae mair, Sur...ah've
goat the message".
He then remarked cheerfully, ....
"You're gonnae feel really stupit aboot this, Sur."
He then produced the 'Dirt-Devil' before a rapidly
assembling little crowd and exclaimed,
"Look at that, Sur", as he removed a cunningly
concealed 'Crevice tool' from the side of the
'Dirt-Devil' casing, waved it demonstrably to
the small crowd and popped it back in again
His next observation was,
"S'clever, Intit..bet you feel really Stupit, Sir"
followed by a cheerful, "A loat o' folk make
that mistake. They always feel really stupit"
"Aye" said a full bosomed wee lady at the back,
"Aye, s'clever right enough, intit?"
I took the re-wrapped package, thanked him
and made my way to the door....
"Feeling Really Stupid"
