Saddam has been executed today as I predicted. One more for Madra
Dubh's collection of Scottish predictions that came true.

I wonder if Bush's collar feels a bit tighter around his neck
today.
Likewise Rumsfeld, Cheney et al.
A cautionary tale for all mass-murdering, torturers everwhere.

Predicting Saddam Hussein's execution is akin to predicting the
sunrise.

George

How typical that, as usual, you don't get it. I didn't predict his
execution, you witless, wittering woossie, I predicted that he would
be executed this weekend.

Seems there would have been a double
booking in the 'How great we art' TV show.

I think they did it because they didn't want to be upstaged by James
Brown's death. See how silly your conspiracy theory sounds.

Tut tut Georgie - having to resort to that desperate old 'conspiracy
theory' line already?
You genuinely believe that after four years of planning and 'war' the
"Iraqi Government' would be trusted with the timing of Saddams
execution?
You seem like a sweet young boy and you're naïveté is touching, but a
word to the wise - the 'Iraqi Government' is in control of about a
square mile of Bagdhad tops and the timing of these events is organised
at the highest level - you've a lot to learn about how the real world
works you silly young pup.

Gee, more conspiracy theories. Why am I not surprised? Do you have any
actual evidence that the Iraqi court did not set the timing for the
execution? Even if someone else set the timing, so what? Who cares?

Agreed. I was only having a light-hearted exchange with Highlander
anyway - it wasn't intended to start a serious debate.

I can relate (but not to Highlander. He's to far over the edge of the
abyss for my tastes).

But I think you should bear in mind that conspiracies *do* exist and have
done for thousands of years.
The trick to getting away with it is to make people dismiss them as
'conspiracy theories'.

Circular reasoning. Got anything resembling logic?

I think it's down to the 'it's all just conspiracy theories'' crowd to come
up with some logic - the above is perfect logic, you just havn't read it
properly or thought it through.
