I have family there, too - and I _like_ them!
Find some other place to demonstrate on.

How about British Columbia? Highlander's 'home away from home'.

George

Nope. I have friends there, and I like them.

Perhaps we could make a really small one that only takes out his house.
Then he'd have to live on the streets of Vancouver and search furiously
for those street grates with the salmon markings for use as his private
privy.

George

No, no, no, he's one of them. Or have you forgotten 9/11? I havent.

One of "them"? To what "them" are you referring? Are you suggesting that
Highlander is Al-Qaeda?

No, I suspect Val is referring to the fact that he's a resident of the
country which allowed commercial airliners belonging to carriers

from many countries (including the USA) to land safely in their

airports when the US administration had denied them landing rights
and would have allowed them to run out of fuel and ditch in the sea.

Well, gee, since no one knew for certain how many planes nor which ones were carrying hijackers ready to die for Allah, it isn't a wonder that planes were diverted elsewhere and not allowed into our airspace at the time. And while I am certainly grateful to Canada for allowing those planes to land. Highlander certainly had nothing to do with it. As such, and considering his animosity towards Americans, I see no reason why he should receive special treatement. Wow, he's a Canadian. Big deal! He's still a jerk.

George

Well, George, so are you, judging by your behavior in here. So are ninety per cent of the Republicans in this country, judging by their behavior as the party in power. But it doesnt keep me from talking with you, or being good friends with several of them. And I can imagine very few things more irrelevant to me than your opinion as to who I should or should not bestow my affection on, for any reason I choose, or no reason at all.

Val de Lerkan Merkan

But since I am not a Republican, and never have been, your point it moot.

George

Your comprehension isnt too hot either, eh? I carefully separated your species of jerkitis from that of the Republicans, you having already posted a position statement earlier in the week. And your opinion as to who I should or should not like is still irrelevant, regardless of party affiliation or lack of it.

You equated my behavior with that of the Republicans, and where I come from, those are practially fighting words. I never stated one way or the other who you should or shouldn't like. You're a big girl (at least, that is the impression I get). I should think you can figure that out for yourself. If you want to suck up to a loser like Highlander, then by all means, go for it. He's all yours. As to my position, well, I guess you'll have to refresh my old memory on that one, since I have no idea what you are talking about.

George

Sigh. I said,"...so are you, judging by your behavior in here. So are
ninety per cent of the Republicans in this country, judging by their
behavior as the party in power."
Notice how you and the Republicans are each denigrated separately?

I said that in partial reply to your earlier statement "...considering his animosity towards Americans, I see no reason why he should receive special treatement.Wow, he's a Canadian. Big deal! He's still a jerk. "

The special treatment under consideration at that time being the fact that I choose to overlook some of his little idiosyncrasies; when I am not at his throat over them; in favor of others which happen to weigh more with me.

And you calling that 'sucking up', how is that NOT expressing a critique of my choice, and a negative evaluation therof?

The position statement was the one where you expressed that you were Democrat, and less than fond of our current admin. Ditto.
