I dont save TV shows past watching once or twice if they're very funny. mark has a good collection of DVDs, some he bought special for me like some Discovery stuff, and very old (1950s) 'monster' movies, and a LOT of animated specials; Curse of Giant WereRabbit is the latest, we havent seen yet, may get to this weekend.

Yeah! But we are getting them 24/7 and thus most are going round for the umpteenth time. Don't you just hate repeats?
urgh! well, not always, if it was funny enough (in both senses) ..but we are seeing some new 2006 bits over here, maybe they'll eventually get over there!
We probably get them as soon as you do these days. The thing is we have so many TV stations showing the series. We even have one station that has CSI Miami, followed by CSI NY followed by Law & Order followed by L&O special investigations unit all in the same evening. However there are other stations showing older versions on other channels.
Ah. Sounds like an embarassment of riches. What was that old Pink Floyd song line, 13 channels of ch*** on the TV to choose from.. now we have a hundred and 13, and not much improvement in selection...
I tape just the ones I want, watch when I have time and interest, so I dont get to know about all that is being offered.
I run a DVD recorder with a very large fitted hard disk and it has the ability to download an up-to-date programme guide. This allows me to scan down a programme list and set it to record any programme on any of my TV systems, (Analogue and digital terrestrial TV and digital satellite) with the push of one button. I can even edit out the ads and I can compress several films or programmes onto a single DVD disk if I want to keep them. I usually keep 8 or 10 film on the hard disk so I always have something to watch. Another nice feature is the ability to set up to record a favourite show that falls outside the time you are home and then do the same with the next episode but to record it over the one last episode that you watched last.
So I am seldom graveled for lack of watchable material, I just honestly dont think of doing it very often. What with reading and playing on computer my 'non-active' leisure time is pretty taken up.
