just a few miles south of the Virginia state line in Northampton
County, North Carolina with a present permanent population of about a
thousand people. Good hunting and fishing; they grow cotton there too.
They used to grow tobacco but they depleted the soil--hence cotton. I
moved from there when I was a kid, but still take a look at the old
place a couple of times a year.
