They're not all that easy to find over here...I only just acquired one about five years ago when someone took pity (after watching me wrap the pot in a towel) and knit one for me.

America has a lot of conveniences, but I found
that a lot of things I took for granted and "nor-
mal" were anything but over here. Tea cosies,
decent raspberry jam and boot scrapers by the
kitchen door come to mind fairly quickly.

There are some nice little tea strainers available, but if you strain
out
the leaves, how will you have your fortune told?

Call the Psychic Network? Actually, if they were so good at their tasks, one has to wonder why they didn't see that bankruptcy coming...

Is it really necessary to wrap the pot? One would think that prewarming the pot with boiling water would do the job. After all, the tea only brews four or so minutes.

Ha! Wuss !

How long do you brew the stuff, Bryn? Until it is suitable for tanning bull hides?

Never brew it.. Just let it stand until the flavour pleases you.

Well, it does have some tannin in it. I actually had to unblock one of our pots, tannin had plugged the spout.

Single plantation teas are best because they have fewer things added. And they don't not taste stewed. If we forget a pot of tea we zap it in the microwave with few ill effects...

"I am not Roo," said Piglet loudly.

"I am Piglet!"

"Yes, dear, yes," said Kanga soothingly.

"And imitating Piglet's voice too!
So clever of him."
