The picture is incomplete as you described it. He attacks the West
because the West attacks him on the same issues, in the same time the
very West cherishes such dear friends in such bastions of democracy,
human rights and tolerance as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc. You may come
up with very pragmatic explanations why it happens but it does not
affect the topic the guy raised: the West's hypocrisy.
As to "letting him in" - it was not a good will act but international
obligations.
I do agree that engaging him as the Iran's representative is very right
thing to do. I wish however it would go on a different scale and pace.
The fastest way to liberalize the regime in Iran IMO is to flood the
country with dirty cheap PC and Internet and provide an average person
with a way to earn some money.
