That was probably just "Tagish Elvis" (of Tagish Lake, YT, near Teslin) out
on a drinking binge. Tagish Elvis is a Yukoner who legally changed his
name to Elvis Presley, Jr., and was supposeldy hit by a beam from a UFO and
tranformed into the rock star legend. I met Tagish Elvis on the streets of
Whitehorse in the summer of '98, he sand me a song so I bought him an ice
cream cone and he said "thank you, thank you very much." God, it was weird
and uncanny. Word has it he build his log cabin out of salvaged creosote
logs, and the chemical interaction made hairy and drove him insane:
