Asa-i cand maimuca jegoasa infekteaza si spurca locul.

Chris Warner visits Google's Mountain View, CA headquarters to discuss
his book "High Altitude Leadership: What the World's Most Forbidding
Peaks Teach Us About Success." This event took place on November 19,
2008, as part of the Leading@Google series.
On July 20, 2007 twenty five climbers set out for the summit of K2.
Eighteen would reach the summit. Two would die. On a mountain where
one-in-seven summiters die descending, it was the most successful day
in K2s epic history. Leading an international expedition, and filming
it for NBC TV, Chris Warner captured the mountain, in all its
brutality. Now he is bringing his Emmy nominated footage, and tales of
heroism, narcissism and cowardice, to the Google community.
Chris Warner has summited five 8000 meter peaks and is one of Americas
top climbers. Chris Warner is not just a climbing bum, he is the owner
of the Earth Treks Climbing Centers, a mid-sized company with 175
employees and three locations. Based on Chris combination of climbing
skills and entrepreneurial experience, the Earth Treks team was
chosen, in 2000, to guide Leadership Development Expeditions for the
Wharton School of Business. Chris writings on leadership have appeared
in SmartCEO magazine, Upward Bound and his latest book, High Altitude
Leadership, co-authored with Don Schminke, was published this fall by
Jossey-Bass. http://www.highaltitudeleadership.com

the 100 young leaders for the new millennium," and led the first
successful South American expedition to Mt. Everest and K2. He has
applied the leadership and team-building skills needed to climb the
world's most challenging mountains to business and education.
Dr. Jordan is a civil and industrial engineer, earned a Ph.D. in
Organizational Administration from Oxford University, and is a
lecturer in Innovation Processes and Management at the Pontifical

seeks to document the impact of climate change on the lesser-known
side of the Antarctica Peninsula.

Author Lincoln Hall visits Google's Mountain View, Ca headquarters to
discuss his book "Dead Lucky: Life After Death on Mount Everest". This
event took place on May 21, 2008, as a part of the Authors@google
series. For more info about Lincoln Hall, please visit http://www.lincolnhall.net/
Lincoln Hall set off for Everest in early May 2006. Five weeks after
reaching Base Camp in Tibet, he began his push for the summit. After
three days of climbing higher into the oxygenless air, he was blessed
with a perfect summit day. For a few minutes, Hall was the highest man
on the planet. His Sherpa companions arrived, photos were taken, and
the climbers commenced their long descent.
Then things began to go horribly wrong. Hall was struck by cerebral
edema--high-altitude sickness--in the aptly named "death zone."
Drowsiness quickly became overpowering lethargy, and he collapsed in
the snow. Two Sherpas spent hours trying to revive him, but as
darkness fell he was pronounced dead.
Early the next day, Dan Mazur, an American mountaineering guide with
two clients and a Sherpa, was startled to find Hall sitting cross-
legged on the knife-edged crest of the summit ridge. Hall's first
words--"I imagine you are surprised to see me here"--were a massive
understatement.
