Destiny!!!?
It was the Iraqi destiny to be invaded by the US, have their country
destroyed, 650,000 of them murdered in a civil war started and
maintained by the US.!!!? You need to do some more reading.
We started no civil war.
No, but it was inside Pandora's box, and you opened it.
Sorry you missed your chance...
It started to open by itself in 1920, but the Brits quickly and
efficiently shut the lid, God bless 'em.
Bah... Following WWII, the Brits abdicated responsibility for their
cockups all around the world, threw the messes at the door of the UN and
the United States, and retreated to their damp, chilly little island.
They now sit in moral judgement...
Fair enough - you yanks deserve moral judgement.

Based on historical events dating back to 1940, I see no reason for
any animosity between Brits and Yanks. Churchill, running short of
every type of ordnance, pleaded with FDR, "Give us the tools and we'll
finish the job." Thanks God Roosevelt did. No nation in the world ever
withstood the type of punishment meted out by anything as vile as the
German Luftwaffe. The Brits' performance was miraculous and saved
western civilization. And for that matter, so did the Red army of the
Soviet Union. Tony Blair has been one hell of a fine P.M.who decided
to cast his lot with Bush who simply didn't know what he was doing and
still doesn't. We Yanks say thanks to the Brits for standing by us and
sacrificing but if the new P.M. decides to pull out all UK forces from
Iraq, we are in no position to blame him. Dubyah has done his best but
continued stubbornness on his part will create far too many
casualties. The emphasis should be on bringing down that Iranian
government be it peacefully or warlike. Once that happens, the Iraq
mess will clear up on its own.
