This has nothing to do with the way genuine Stockholmers are -- it's simply
the 'capital syndrome', and the same thing happens in Helsinki and Oslo. A
Finn from Tampere or a Norwegian from Trondheim will tell you the same story
about people from Helsinki / Oslo.
