Ok, whatever... Yes, there maybe more opportunities overseas once the economy
recovers until then Malaysia is better a place to hunker down. IMO, tiny
economies like Malaysia can weather economic downturn. You should visit here
and see for yourself.
An email address can be assessed anywhere in the word. As the lady
was from Malaysia, I am sure she knows what she has been saying.
Visiting it will only make it worse. Everyday, even in Singapore, I
am reading about so much horrible things happening in .my.
Malaysia is a better place to hunker down? Are you speaking for the
Chinese or Indians in Malaysia? We all know how they are being
bullied. Malaysian leaders used to frighten the Malays in Malaysia
about Singapore Government badly treating the Malays to get the
Malay's support but today, the Malaysian Malays have woken up and
realised that the Malaysian Malay Goverment only takes care of the
Malay elites. The rest of the Malays got only kachang putih. The
results really shown in the last GE.
Malaysia is in deep trouble. Once upon a time, the Malay leaders in
Malaysia used to used Singapore as a whipping do but today or in the
last two years, nobody has been critcising Singapore. Why?
Because:
(a) Many Malaysians have woke up to realise that Singaporeans are
treated fairly and equally, irrespective of their races. There is
also no "bum"miputra in Singapore.
(b) Meritocracy is the order of the day for Singapore
(c) Malaysia is no longer a hinterland of Singapore. The world is.
(d) Iskandar Region wants Singapore but Singapore is wanted by the
world and unconditionally
(e) Malaysia is infested with crimes but Singapore is noted to be a
safe country
(f) Malaysian leaders said Singaporeans live in pigeon holes but
Singaporean know that everything like the lifts, electricty, water,
works in Singapore unlike in Malaysia.
(g) Many Chinese Mlaysians talents have taken up Singapore
citizenship but hardly any Singapore Malays want to be "bum" miputras
in Malaysia. Why?
(h) Singapore is like a rocket, in term of its GDP but Malaysia is
still a Cessna.
(i) Malaysian prides itself as a democratic society with so many
controversies but Singapore is lacking in scandals.
(j) Malaysia lost Pulau Batu Puteh aka Pedra Branca to Singapore
because officials had never been interested to take care of the
country but their own pockets.
As an ex-Malaysian, I will be pleased to continue with the debates on
discrimation.
