Job Description
A large Japanese Securities company is looking for a motivated developer to
provide IT services to the business; primarily you will be responsible for:
- Development of an algorithmic trading system framework
- Analysis, design, construction and validation of automated trading strategies
- Development of trading and analysis tools
- Working with internal and external clients to explain the automated strategies
- Establishing strong relationships with the business and other technical
stakeholders to discuss systems issues and changes;
- Resolving operational issues and implementing preventative measures
- Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery testing
- In this role, you will work closely with the business and technical
stakeholders and will be required to work with minimal supervision

This role is for a large Japanese Securities company based in the center of the
financial district.
If you have a track record of working for an international securities firm
within algorithmic development and want the challenge and security of working
for a Japanese company in the same role then this is the position for you.!
Working Hours 9:00-6:00
Qualifications
- A strong background of at least 5 years in Algorithmic programming in a
Investment Bank within Asia
- Strong skills in Fidessa / Open Access
- Working with live market data feeds such as Reuters Triarch / RMDS or
Bloomberg
- Proven IT development experience in front office systems
- A strong focus on detail, in particular, in relation to the testing phase of
projects
- The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate
solutions to system problems
- The desire to investigate the cause of problems and provide solutions to
prevent re-occurrence
