EC Should Be Free In Making Decision, Says Guan Eng

PENANG, May 18 (Bernama) -- Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the Election
Commission (EC) should be free and not favour the ruling party in making the
decision on the use of black ink in the March 8 general election.

Besides that, he said, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and
Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail should explain to the people the true
reason behind the issue of cancelling the use of the black ink.

Is there any Constitutional barrier to election of JKKK leadership?
||||Today 10:46 AM|ong
While the COnstitution is used to excuse the State Governments to hold elections
in local governments there is not an iota of legal inhibition to hold elections
for JKKK leadership. Yet the positions will be appointed by the State Government
going by what was reported by Bernama. The State Government do owe the people an
explanation why it refused to realise democracy at the lower levels of the
government when its party name start with `Democracy'! Without the D word the
party's name will be left with `Action Party' -which in Penangites' usage is
totally not complimentary. For non-Penangites `action' is worst than just NATO
(No Action Talk Only) it means to be very pretentious.

Mahathir back to his old tricks-playing race card!
||||Today 11:01 AM|ong
Malaysians who are complaining of racial politics should get sensitised to the
cause of racial politics-it is the politicians who fan racial sentiments by
giving bias interpretation to the people's problems and blame it on other
communities. If we are sensitive enough such antics as enagaged by Mahathir
should be condemned unanimously by all `bangsa malaysia' supporters. In this
light the report by Malaysianinsider.com (attached) should be applauded to show
a way on anti-racism sensitivity. If more media/people are that sensitive the
day when racial politics is detected and condemned from miles away will draw
closer -and that will keep Malaysian society safe from racism! So keep your
anti-racism radar up and running!
