The Tengku Mahkota is right. It is Karpal Singh that is seditious here
by implying that "special" is equal to "normal", which means that the
Malaysian Agreement had been violated,i.e. the granting of
citizenships to those that do not deserve citizenship, in return for
the "special" privileges. Actually the "special privileges" are
spelled out in the constitution. It includes "government jobs".

The Tengku Makhota said last Saturday that the special rights and
privileges of the majority Malays were not to be questioned and that
it was inappropriate for other races to demand equal privileges just
because they gained Malaysian citizenship.

Tengku Mohammad Faris claimed the special rights and privileges of the
Malays as a "quid pro quo" (exchange) for providing Malaysian
citizenship to 2.7 million people of other races who joined the Malay
Federation.

Describing the Tengku Mahakota's comment as "unwarranted", Karpal
Singh said citizenship itself granted the other races the standing to
claim equal rights and privileges.

"The other races in the country acquired citizenship after Merdeka
(freedom), and are, therefore entitled to enjoy the rights and
privileges which flow from that citizenship," said Karpal Singh.

Special rights and previledges mean using tax payer money to pay for
rights and previledges
As Mahathir had said, most of the tax is contributed by the non-malay
and real work done by the non-malay
So the non-malay had been sponsoring for 40 years

their education to create, business opportunities given to regenerate
more wealth for themselves and employment creating productivity to

malay are net losses, as continueing and more should be given as
nothing have came out from what had been gave.
