Did you know you can earn US$7.50 just by reviewing this blog entry. Want to
know how?
I?ve recently received a Advertlets cheque not too long ago for all my hard work
in advertising their ads and doing review of Advertlets .
But when I deposited the cheque to my local DBS/POSB bank, it was rejected. I
was perplexed as the cheque was issued HSBC, a local bank themselves. I never
had any problems with other cheques even foreign ones like Google nor Amazon,
who uses overseas banks.
So after much deliberation, email exchanges and waiting, which I think took far
longer than needed, I think it?s finally settled. It was explained in detailed
by Josh in his email to all Singapore bloggers. I find Advertlets support still
in need of improvement, but Josh and Iz of http://izreloaded.blogspot.com
(Advertlets ambassador) has been very helpful.
Now Singapore bloggers have various option to be paid, which is by direct bank
deposit, PayPal or payment via Iz using pickup point.
I with gleefully took up the PayPal option. I just love electronic online
payment, as it?s the most direct and fast. We?ll see how fast Advertlets will do
so to deposit the money into my PayPal, and I will keep you updated.
Below is an extract from Josh himself
Hi Advertlets Singapore Bloggers:
Just like you, we?ve experimented with online advertising, and have received
cheques from overseas before. Having gotten cheques from the US, and Singapore
before with no incident, we?re pretty surprised that Malaysian cheques can?t be
banked into Singapore accounts, especially since Malaysia and Singapore are just
5 hours away from each other.
We have had a variety of issues for Singaporean cheques, some can bank it in
with no incident, some can bank it in albeit at very high interest rates,
whereelse some cannot bank it in at all. Its puzzling as to why its not all the
same problem for all publishers. It differs drastically from bank to bank.
This is largely in part due to currency control measures that were put in place
by Bank Negara Malaysia during the Asian financial crisis, and for whatever
reason, have not been removed. We?re sorry for this unforeseen inconvenience.
Rest assured that after this initial complication is settled, future cheques to
Singapore should not be delayed. We will most likely open an account with HSBC
Singapore, or have a local ?pick up? point, or use Paypal.
However in the meantime, the utmost priority is getting your earnings to you the
fastest way possible. We have found a fastest solution to your problem, and the
arrangement would be most one of these three for now, until we find and
implement the more permanent solution. This is valid for July and August cash
outs:
1. Provide us with your SWIFT code and Bank Name & Address, and we can TT the
money.
2. If you have a Paypal account, we will bank it in via a staff account.
Although this is admittedly an odd setup, it is a fast way.
3. You can meet up with our Singaporean representative (Advertlets Blog
Ambassador Iz of http://izreloaded.blogspot.com) to collect the payment in
person. I will also try my best to be present.
This would also be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts with us,
together with other bloggers. A mini gathering and idea discussion, so we can
better serve Singapore bloggers. Personally I am most keen on this idea, but let
us know your schedule, and we understand that not everyone might be able to meet
at the same time. Around September 12-20th would be conducive.
In the meantime I am reachable at +60123119141 should you have any questions.
Thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Josh Lim CEO Advertlets.com
