iirc, the rt has never been armed with guns, only tongkat rotan
The RT group in my area, there used to be 2 members, who rotate, who
actually privately own guns, so they carry the piece with them, when it's
time to go on duty. However, my point is, it's still very dangerous to have
armed RT members. If the members, already have the license to carry guns
and they do, during the routine of doing RT duty, then it's fine with me,
but I am quite against arming them, especially the new members, those who
under normal circumstances, do not on their own, qualify to own and carry
guns. I
wouldn't want to go on RT duty with another 2 or 3 members of my area, if I
knew that on their own right, they'd never ever qualify to own a gun, and
they are now carrrying because they are members of the RT watch. There's
probably good reasons why they can't legally, carry guns in the first place,
so I wouldn't wanna hang out with people like these, especially at 3 to 6 in
the morning.
