According to the 9MP report launched today, while efficiency in the
utilisation of energy resources and wastage minimisation would be
encouraged, emphasis would be given to further reduce the dependency on
petroleum products by increasing the use of alternative fuels and to
promote the use renewable energy.

One way to reduce waste of energy is not to put a high import tax on
energy saving bulb. I don't know wht the government have to put a high
tax on this product.
