i was thinking something like mbrsm style of education where the govt
approve private institutions to run mbrsm style using malay, english,
chinese and tamil at media of communications. If run on a nationwide
scale,
the cost would not be akin to the international school or upland school,
no?
Would be the same or more, because, you'd need to pay more for really good
teachers. It all adds up lah.
no lah, before you were born 40 years ago, teachers had the right to punch,
slap, detain students after class to be on the level. All the students got
through right up to technical colleges, then came um in singapore, of
course some went overseas, came back did great jobs.
now with the pta (replacing the board of governors) hounding the
headmasters/headmistress, umno pushing the nearly every department, can you
blame the teachers for being disinterested/dis illused/ join up with the
students to lepak ?
i dont see this misbehaviours in any mbrsm
why is this?
because mbrsm has different set of rules which must be followed.
furthermore, private international schools, upland etc are private profit
orientated companies, tends to americanise ways of teaching and college
behaviours--- which in my opinion is not that good.
i know i am treading on dicey grounds as parents most likely wont agree to
leaving their precious children "at far away" schools. Teachers from mbrsm
are about the best in my. Why cant the "normal" school teacher do the same
if they are not that harrassed by the ptas, politicians and govt
departments?
The only way to go around this is to wire up
all homes and then have people subscribe to lessons online. Then, 1 teacher
who costs 20,000 a month, can reach out to 20,000 students per session, and
bring costs down, but I still think this is not going to work. Our society
is just not ready for this kind of thing yet.
yes, this was tried out in sg in i think about 1980's(?) . i dont know if
it was susccessful
And besides, I'm actually
quite happy that we are third rate, third world nation. Easier to cari
makan, for me.
like private tutions? ;-))
on a sliding scale, why not?
it is a matter of whether some entrepreneurs want to approach the govt
with
this idea and lobby for support and of course donation to umno who will
say
umyes when the colour is green/blue. Of course some dogs have to do the
running to feed the software copyrighters so that they can wax fat in
their
pigsties.
You'd have to standby at least 100K a month, just to feed the useless board
of directors, if you want them to approve your idea and they want to put
some people into the board of your company.
i know a lot of thai parents send their children to penang "government"
schools e.g. chung ling
a lot of my parents send their children to sg "government" schools e.g. st
patrick school
why do they do that?
hmm?
