We should not critisize SG too much after all they are kia-sue people.
But I understand why they are so kia-sue.

We need to examine the strength and weakness of SG.

SG don't have natural resources like oil, gas , mineral and so on.
SG is a small country with few kilometer square.
SG is a trading port.
Cost of production is higher than MY or INDON.

The only thing they are able to compete successfully is their seaport.
One of the reason for them to buy P&O is to strengthen its seaport
business. (Connectivity).

Thus, this crooked bridge will post an challenge to its seaport
business.
Pertaining of the world famous bridge, as least all singaporean how
this funny looking bridge could affect this tinny island.
