hahaha!
you admit that you don't have answer for things like cost of building the speed train system and the locations of the stops,
air-con the whole Disneyland resort, you are not intelligent after all.

You have not heard of air-conditioning - desert weather can also be very much hotter.

don't talk nonsense, it's irrelevant to talk about the speed train and disneyland in Singapore, the weather is so warm and humid in Singapore.
you cannot answer things like cost of building the speed train system and the locations of the stops, so don't talk about it.

That is the same type of question asked by the small minded tourism authorities of Disneyland when they were looking for an Asian
destination -
and HK splurged on it and we can only look at them with envy today as
they
open Disneyland HK with US$90 billion projected sales in the pipeline in
the
nest 40 years.
We have too many small thinkers like you in the govt top echelons maybe. We will stagnate economically because you can only see no further than
your
nose.

do you know how much it will cost to have the speed train? which are the cities and towns do you want the speed train to stop?
ardeedee wrote:
Speed trains is not for showing off - it is the best medium of inland transportation and has low maintenance and recurring costs such as fuel
and
able to transport passenger and cargo loads of almost infinite
quantities.

it stupid to waste money on things just to show off than spending it
on
the immediate needs.

LOL stupid.

of course is good to have the best in everything, but what is the opportunity cost to the country, any other urgent needs.

The cost of improving the railways into modern high speed systems
may
be
incredibly high at today's rates but this is a project that will
take
the

The later it is cried out the more exhorbitant the costs and at
more
than
arithmetical progression.
But the benefits in economics, social and cultural development is
enormous
and is cost effective .

At what price and cost to the nation, Ardeedee ??? I was told
that
the
cost of expanding the Penang Bridge to another 2 lanes on each
side,
is
about RM400 or was it RM500 million. It costs a couple of
Billion
RMs,
to build another bridge.
k adchin, iirc, the penang bridge was built by the koreans foc on the
condition
that
the korean consortium collects toll from commuters for the next x
x10
years? i could be wrong as i never saw the bridge being built. what is the history behind this old penang bridge, k adchin, por
favor?
To make a decision to develop, on or the other, looks like a
no-brainer
to me. Yet, I keep getting the impression that lots of powerful
people
want to build another bridge, if ever, at some time in the
future,
these
powerful people want to improve the comfort of people like me,
who
drive
on the Pg Bridge everyday.
So, at what price progress and raising of the way of life for
the
people
?
aia yah, k adchin, you are always thinking we should get things
free,
huh?
my monthly water bill rose from rm2 to 6 now rm12 even i am the
only
one
in
the house for the past 10 years. the malay meter reader says that the minimum charge for water is
rm12
irrespective of whether i usse the minimum volume of now muddy
water
or
not.
i suppose i have to agree ;-((
not the malay water meter reader's fault.
blame indah biwaters?
Actually it's not a bad idea if another bridge is build by another consortium to give the Korean consortium a competition.
