According to Mahathir, GLCs have to look after 'national interests' besides making money. That means it has to hire bumis, create bumi suppliers etc. etc. even if costs are increased as a result.

But if something go wrong people just say the elite are cronies and they are the one abusing the system. Sorry that is wrong. Everyone is abusing the system, from inefficient GLCs, inefficient government departments, inefficient and corrupt police, unemployable graduates, inefficient alibaba contractors, inefficent Chief Ministers that gamble more than RM100 million, inefficient courts, inefficient and corrupt ketua kampungs that try to sell citizenships to illegals.

Come on, seriously, are they all 'elite cronies'? Dont just blame the elites and call them cronies...it's the system that's messing everyone up.
