200 people attended, 4 debutantes, which made Lincoln Alexander
remember: "This is my favourite reunion and I used to know of 700
attendees and 20 debutantes". Some people told me their children lost
interest in magyar identity and are kind of assimilated. This surprised
me, though. I didn't think this could happen in Hungarian and Croatian
communities, especially after I met one teenager december 10. at Magyar
Hazban Csango Tanc Estet. He was born here. He told me he had been
punished in elementary school for refusing to speak angolul. Hats off,
dude! So are we all going to fuckin' become stupid white Canadians in
the end, though? Anyway, the best choreographic dancing pair from
Magyarorszag, brother and sister Pali Erik es Victoria also attended. I
even had the honour and privilege of sitting with them at the same
table, as well as with one of the ball's co-chairs. I even won a 50
dollar gift certificate from Columbus Travel Agency. I have to use
until november 26. 2005 and I'm not sure if I can. The basszusgitar
player had a monster 6-string bass. Mine is "only" 5, though.
