There are news stories today that Hizbollah is critical
of the Army. See sample:

I say good! The Army and Hizbollah have developed an incestious
relationship where a militia had taken out Army duties in defending
the home-land. This relationship had been developed during the era
of occupation. Now that the occupation era is over, it's time for the
Army to start behaving like a national army and not an unbrella
organization for an outlaw militia.
As to the Suleiman presidential ambitions, I was never really convinced
that Suleiman is Lebanon's best hope as a president. If Suleiman
presidential failure would now cancel HIzbollah's chummy relationship
with the the Army then it's a good price to pay for that undesirable
presidency.
I say go back to Nassib Lahood and elect him with 50% +1. The advantage
is that you don't need a constituational ammendment (yuck!). The
disadvantage is that March-14 may not have the 50% +1 due to internal
dissent. You got the Tripoli coalition, Tueni, Tabarah all opposed
to 50% +1 presidency. You also have the lack of historical precedent
to a 50% +1 (quorum) presidency.
What's needed is clear. Now that Hizbollah is airing its dirty laundry
with the Army, it's time for the nay-sayers in March-14 to reconsider
their opposition to a 50% +1 president.
