shooting the messenger...

5 killed and 50 wounded today, they're saying it's just a message the
syrians are sending to the arab league
3 killed and 30 wonded last week, they said it's just iran sending a
message to the US

when the late pope john paul 2 announced in 1996 that lebanon was not
simply a regular country that it was a "message" I wondered
sarcastically how could that be when we didn't even have postal
service back then, but now I'm quite amazed at the service we're
providing.

I used to wonder why those sons of 60,000 whores as they say in
lebanese need to kill all these innocent people to send a message to
each other, haven't those sob's heard of other popular three letter
acronyms like sms and ups and msn and aol, don't they know about skype
and yahoo messenger and net2phone?

but who can blame those criminals when we have priced our own lives
cheaper than 10 cents a minute. you have a syrian regime from the
dark ages that treats its own people like they are subhumans and which
has spent 30 years killing and torturing and destroying our own
country up to and including today, and what do we do? we have our
army commander who has yet to become the next unconstitutional
president give them a call to express the deepest feelings of
friendship between our two nations which don't even share diplomatic
representation, as if setting foreign policy is one of his
perogatives. how about that for a defense strategy?

we have a former army commander who destroyed half of our country
under the guise of fighting the syrian occupation become the
mou3allem's pet and their chief defense lawyer and negotiator. we
have another religious freak destroying the other half of our country
to fight their wars and store body parts for them in his freezer.

and all of this with the adoring support of half of the lebanese
population. so who can blame these criminals for taking advantage?

meanwhile some of us are unable to get the message across to each
other that this is simply not working out and it's time to face
reality before we become the new mohicans on the block. ya3neh izal
sha3bu yawman lam yourid al 7ayat, fa their destiny is to live like
the syrians and the iranians and the rest of the arab world. and if
50% of a people decide they don't want to live free, then their
destiny should be to go screw themselves by themselves and not drag
the rest of us down with them. how hard is it to get this message
across, how many dead and wounded does this message need to register
I'm not sure yet.

and here's another message perhaps we can send it through usenet
before it costs us another 1200 dead next summer, if we can't protect
our own politicians and military and intelligence people from being
assassinated by the syrians and their lebanese and palestinian agents,
then obviously we can't protect your own borders yet.

and in the meantime would you all please buy some goddamn stamps or
use tcp/ip because we're fed up being your bloody fedex service.
