I can understand being very angry at these
protestors from Hezbollah who are blocking peoples' roads. If you are
blocking peoples' neighbourhoods, they may feel you are an invader and
not simply some disgruntled citizen and it could provoke a sectarian,
violent reaction. I wouldn't run anyone over, but I know where you

Basil, I do not wish for anyone to be run over. But, if a menacing crowd of
thugs stop me and I feel threatened and in a split second decision, I decide
that to save my life, I will have to run over the thugs, I will do it. Lets
remember that the the thugs had a choice not to block my way and threaten
me. I did not have a choice to be their victim. It is in this context that
I say people have the right to defend themselves according to natural laws.


opposition wants to escalate things and simply expect the other side to
simply stay quiet like mice. They need to be patient and democratic;
not authoritarian.
