I think that's there's a little more to this. We fail sometimes to see
that there's a subtle difference between being on the side of Lahoud as
a person, and being on the side of the president as a figure and a
symbol. If Aoun is aspiring to the presidency, he has to protect its
image.
Besides, the divide is Lahoud-Jumblatt for the time being.

There are no worthy candidates yet. Moreover, those who showed
allegiance to get their parliament chair do not have to necessarily
