Not to defend Berri, but Amal would have totally lost its war against
the Palestinians (who were backed by Jumblatt's PSP back then) if it
weren't for the Syrian intervention, and their re-entry to West Beirut.
The refugee camps were Palestinian barracks back then, and as
combatants, they were mercenaries on a foreign land. Berri's war was
justified back then since his aim was to protect Beirut and the South's
Shiites. The Palestinians were never the lambs you're trying to
portray.
