Lao need NO MORE HYDROELECTRIC DAMS. If they invest that much money
like they put into in these environmental destructive hydroelectric
dams for its ecotourism industries , they will makes millions of
dollars annually from taking tourists up and down streams. They don't
need Thai dam builders, dam engigeers, dam technicians to maintenance
them for the rest of the dams' lives.
All they need are good, dependable boats to take tourists to tour up &
down in Mekong rivers. Build Hotels on the rest areas. This way it
will not destroy anything and still preserves its natural beauty and
fish for people that depend on the mighty river and still have jobs
for Lao people.
I guess cave-dwelling commies don't see that and no vision for their
future generations!
