Re: Lao gold gone...

Pizone,
Your friend is as silly as you are.
His source is unidentified and unqualified, seemingly the head of the I
"...don't get crap from mining" department but he's driving a brand new
Hilux. Seems someone must be lying. By the way, is this Oxiana or Pan Aus.
that we are talking about, just for the record so that you guys can't change
the stories later on when I corner you with facts.

First he complains that Oxiana had a 3 year tax concession and they
mined as much as they can under that concession but defer operating expenses
or amortization until after the tax concession to lower profits after the
tax concession. Then he contradicts himself as soon as he talks of the LPDR
10% share by saying that they take all of the operations expenses and
amortization off of the revenue to lower the earnings figures. Well, you
can't have it both ways at the same time guys! Then again, their tax
concession has ended anyway and the tax concession period just happens to
have coincided with the period when they had to spend 100s of millions
building all of their refining capabilites, and all the initial capital
expenditures.

Then the overall concept of deferred revenue or expenses is valid in
some cases but where is it? If it was deferred it has to be reported in
their annual reports and accounting! They can't just hide it and then bring
it back later. So when you guys find any of it in their annual reports, you
just let me know and we can discuss it further.

By the way, don't bother looking for amortization of the heavy mining
equipment for Pan Australia Resources, they don't own their heavy equipment,
they lease it. There's nothing deferrable when you lease.

You guys really have to learn how to read an annual report. But that
would spoil all your fun in making up all this bullshit to yell and cry
about.

thanks for taking your time explaining this. phidungmo is too 'foxy'
he don't want people know on how a business gets its revenue or lost.
revenue and benefit are controlable like you said.

lao gold, silver and copper are lao national resources, all lao people
should benefit and at the fair share, otherwise just shut the mining
off and tell the ozzies to go home.
