YOURS TRULY: So when did this communist apologist, schooled as a
philosopher, become an expert at law? including international law,
for that matter? Is he saying that BOTH "self-proclaimed Laotian
governments" AND "resistance organizations" are illegal? Under whose
law? U.S.? Laotian? International?

Are these governments in exile only illegal if: (1) they are self-
proclaimed; (2) they are Laotian; AND (3) they are resistance
organizations?

Would the good doctor let us know if "resistance" means ALL kinds of
resistances including non-violent resistance? One would think that,
in America, openly talking about the overthrow of the communist of
Laos is protected speech. (Acting on it is another matter.)

And that Americans freely associating as "Laotian government in exile"
is protected under the U.S. Constitution.

It appears that freedom of speech and association are foreign concepts
to the communist mind.

DYD: "I urge each and everyone of our multi-ethnic Laotian communities
in the U.S. (including Lao, Hmong, Khmu, Mien, Thaidam and Lue
Americans) to do their best to become productive U.S. citizens, to
build a strong relationship with the local American community, and to
work together to make this great nation a better place to live..."

YOURS TRULY: These are the same things that General Vang Pao has been
promoting for the past 30 years.

DYD: "...as well as to support our U.S. government foreign policy in
promoting peace and international cooperation with all nations of the
world..."

YOURS TRULY: Okay, nothing disagreeable here.

DYD: "...including Laos."

YOURS TRULY: Until the U.S. government changes its tone about that
country (vis a vis Iraq during its war with Iran and post Gulf War
I). Who knows, Laos next?
