vannasay,
I enjoy reading your comments, and the ones of Phantom LongNoze. You guys
seemed to have excellent writing skills, plus you go to the point without
confusing the readers. That's cool though.
Cheers!

Obviously you have me confused with someone who gives a ***.
Baghdad can rot, for all I care. Kicking Saddam's ass out of power was
our main--and fulfilled--objective, but I don't think anyone in their
right mind ever really believed that we'd bring democracy to that land
of lunatic fringe elements. Even today, with the "great Satan" in their
midst, they seem more intent on killing one another than anything else.
As I wrote over a year ago, we're in Iraq today precisely because of
what is happening today in Lebanon, and will be happening in Syria,
Iran and probably one or two other countries in the weeks and months to
come. Only a fool believes we're there to "bring Democracy" to the
Iraqis. America is in Iraq as a deterrent, pure and simple. Moammar
Qaddafi said as much when he voluntarily relinquished all WMD
research--he was scared, admitted it, and didn't want to end up like
Saddam. 150,000 or so armed troops, two battle fleets and the best
equipment on the planet will do that to a guy.

Hoo-Hah, Obviously I believe that Liam loves to remain in one of the
most civilized newsgroup such as this one,,,comparing to any of the
American forums which always resort in the most cannibalistic insults
and subhuman treats, but here we treat him pretty decent, even though
occasionally with his little self-serving arrogance and panophobia,
which both appear harmless, but only making himself disoriented in his
own conservative uncertain cloth.
By reading all of this, you get me even more confused not with someone
else, but your own contradictions from which you often act like noone
else is as much well informed or educated as you,,,But no matter what
you said a year or two years ago, is not going to change the equation
of the reality in this dangerous failing foreign policy, nor what I say
is anti American, otherwise 61% would be anti american in this country,
and even 1/3 of American believe in conspiracy theory of 9/11 which was
cooked up by bush and cheney to advance their own agenda etc,,,.
I don't even have the stomach to quarrel about your own chameleon
theory in which one day is said that finding WMD is the ultimate goal,
next Saddam, next spread democracy was worthwhile to fight, and now
runaway to capture Lebanon now,,,and democracy is the least
important,,,It all sounds like kindergarten prof story to me.
To boast about the world's biggest army is not enough to guarantee any
hearts and minds winning democracy, since the biggest flaw was the
violation of the world's trust, particularly the real allies, but now
turned into foes,,,and indifferent to the cause, even observing your
agony with a sense of vindication.
