Re: Lao PDR's new president is smart

I need more infromation and facts before concluding whether he is smart
or not. Speaking a foreign language is a first step. If that's the
only criteria than all Laotian and Hmong people in the US are smart too
because they can speak their native language as well as English and
Thai. So they might be even smarter.

He may be smart, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because not
many people know what his plan is. Whether he'll lead Laos into a new
era of peace, democracy, and ecomonic vitality is a different story.

The first thing that he can do as a smart leader is to get all citizens
of Laos involved in the political process, including those that
disagreed with the LPDR. Allow all Lao citzens who left after 1975 to
come back as full citzens.

These are small steps that I think will improve the conditions in Laos.
