Hello Her Lao,

The Government in Tehran is different from the one in Vientiane. May be
it is not suitable to say about a genovernment that rules a country for
30 years lacking experiece in foreign policy, but the one in Iran today
only in power about a year and this fact can justify the lack of
experience.

No, you did not understand the professor's broad remarks:

the "government of Iran" has not been "in power about a year,"
as you put it.

no, it's been there since the REVOLUTION, when Carter was in
the White House, around FOUR YEARS after the "correct leadership"
of LAOS came to power in LAOS.

when the professor of Tehran University said that IRAN's
"government" does not have the "political experience," he did
NOT mean simply the man who is running the government right
now --- the man who replaced Khatami, the man who is running
the political part of Iran's government and the political part
is NOT the most powerful part of Iran's government, it is the
Supreme Leader and the clerics, in that order,,,

he meant IRAN'S POLITICAL GOVERNMENT, as a STRUCTURE, as a
POLITICAL INSTITUTION, not the man elected to run the institution.
you need to read broadly and understand broadly, so you do not
make this kind of unnecessary mistakes in understanding broad
language concepts,,,

the professor said IRAN'S GOVERNMENT, as INSTALLED by Ayatolah
Khomeini, the guy with the white beard in every cleric's office
in Iran ---- he said THAT GOVERNMENT has NOT POLITICAL
EXPERIENCE to deal with MODERN life in Iran, where tens of
millions are aspiring to BROAD reforms in science, in research,
in technologies, in communication, in arts and literature and
culture and norms and mores, etc., etc.

why did the professor said that and NOT fearful? it is NOT only
because the guy who is president of Iran right now IS one of
the professor's childhood friends, but, again, the professor is
within a large enough of an intellectual/scientists/scholars
group Iran who DRIVE Iran's very machine of modern progress and
change,,,,,

Anyway, in the mind of these two different governments, experience does
not mean kissing western ass.
