On this I think we can agree. However, do not insist on those unwanted
terms--Reunification/Reconciliation, with our fellow Lao Nai. We must
be realistic and pragmatic, so that we don't hurt the LPDR officials.
Changes for the better between Lao Nork and Lao Nai happen everyday
inside/outside Laos. Just forget about GWB's democracy that he
believed would destroy/win terrorism.

Try to save enough money for your retirement in XiengKhouang or Sam
Neua. Don't wait too long if you prefer the capital of Vientiane,
where lands in interesting spots cost $50-$100 per Square Meter and
keep going up. I could not find an affordable piece of small lot for a
small hut house along the Mekong River, from Kao Lieo to Chinaimo.
Maybe, as an information man Thanouxay could help with this. And I
hope Thanouxay will keep the article on Bill Gates in Hanoi for future
reference, for some of his new bosses, following the 6th NA elections,
at the LPDR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including a friend who will be
coming home from BKK after June 2006. Having been long enough as the
LPDR diplomatic chief, and finally elected to the Politburo of the
LPRP, I wish to see HE Somsavat climb up another ladder and let new
faces showing up at the photo opportunities in the LPDR MFA.
